From a biblical perspective the environment is actually a part of God's creation, of which humanity is also a part of, and there are many scriptures that support the importance of caring for it. Thankfully, the "disposable earth" mindset (that had more to do with Western consumerism than authentic Christian faith) is disappearing, as believers are realizing that whether Jesus is returning next Thursday or not, He wants us to cherish and steward His Creation. Christian groups emphasize the importance of spreading the word around the world. This is important in order to collate an even bigger network of believers and supporters, reaching all areas of the globe. There are a number of successful means of achieving this, one of the most popular means being that of visual aids. Visual aids include banners, posters, leaflets and of course Christian t-shirts. Apparel is often provided to members of religious groups and individuals on the understanding that they wear them as often as possible in streets, shops, meetings and at work. Christian t-shirts are available in a number of styles and designs and could include images or words or a combination of both. Some styles will be advertising a particular Christian group and where to find out more information; others may have a particular topical slogan or definition. The pictures may be again advertising a particular Christian group’s logo or sign or it may be a sublime message that is displayed with pictures rather than words. Examples of Christian t-shirts include on the front the logo of a church and on the back is the name and contact details of a particular Christian group. Another example could be of a funny design, where the t shirts purpose is to make people laugh but at the same time offer them guidance simply by quoting one or two lines. Christian apparel is available in many colors and in varieties of fabrics and designs. These designs include round necks, v necks, long sleeved and short sleeved. Christian t-shirts are available not only to Christian group organizers themselves but also to individuals like yourself who want to spread the Gospel to others. It is important to consider that whereas dedicated Christian t-shirts will display the correctly desired image, other organizations are set up to print t shirts acting against Christian's. That is why we need to fight back and show the world that Christ is real and let his love shine through us. Here's something to ponder. In three seconds or less, a well designed Christian apparel item can attract the attention of anyone on the face of the planet that can see, and deliver a message that is life changing. It can encourage or engage. It can cause people to think...even to question, and often it can open doors of opportunity for believers to witness to individuals who may have never set foot in (or near) a church. It cuts across all boundaries that age, culture, etc. can build up. It can deliver the Gospel with impact and sincerity to individuals that otherwise may never stop to consider its truth. The makers of cool Christian t-shirts and apparel have received stacks of letters over the years from fellow believers that testify that this can be (and is) a daily occurrence. So the next time you go to the mall, or the fair or even the grocery store...remember to put on a Christian t-shirt. You'll be presenting the Gospel to potentially hundreds of people every time you do. It is the ministry of Christian t-shirts. It's a three second witness that can have an eternal effect. |
